Philadelphia, PA -- A Japanese Garden

The Shofuso Japanese House and Garden in West Fairmount Park came highly recommended so, on our trip to Philly, Lisa and I decided to pay it a visit. We both liked the teahouse the best; it's made for little people!

Apparently, an uninvited snapping turtle had feasted on at least one of the carp happily swimming in the pond and, while we were there, we saw staff setting up a trap in the water, with chicken inside. Believing it to be a female turtle, the staff wanted to get her safely back to the river before her little ones would pick up their mother's 'bad' eating habits! Mmm, chicken or carp? Tough call.
